Use two boards. One to follow the main continuation, one for side-lines.
That allows you to quickly reset the second board back to the game, by just copying the current position from the first board.
Following the analysis lines.

Is there a good way to keep the analysis lines clear. What with all the parenthesis within parenthesis it sometimes gets confusing to follow the lines.
