I've ordered a magnetic chess set for analysis and going through games.
When I'm reading a chess book am I supposed to follow all the moves and variations in my head or is it 'allowed' to use a chess set. I remember reading studying one game of Fischer in Kasparov's great predecessors book and using a board I still play that opening pretty well.
