For a 1900 blitz player

My knowledge of openings is limited, I do not know confidently play any, so I usually play 4 knights or do something different to not have theory. When someone manages to play a king's Indian or a Sicilian against me, I lose in a few moves.

I dont know endgame. Lucena or philidor I dont remember and my endgame is limited to 'square rules' (in the last week I'm reading Silmans Endgame Course and Dvorestky Endgame Manual).

In the middlegame I know the basic theory principles: good/bad bishop, pawn structure (isolated, backwards, island, etc..), outposts, etc...

I play blitz (3 min) and some 10 min...

My tactical skill are... I dont know, I feel I can solve any tactical problem, but in real game maybe not.

How about you? What you study about chess and what you really KNOW about chess?

I'm a lazy player, I dont like study seriouslly, but I see I cant reach 2000 if I do not study. My opponents in 1900 mark know all my tricks lol... Anyaway, I know my talent is limited to 1800 sad.png From here just hard work to better in chess!

For endgame, you can set up various positions on 7 men TB and you can figure out by your own.

Today, there are trillions of known endgame positions  but start with rook pawn endgames. There are much more to know than lucena and philidor . grin.png
