For a women like me, can i be a professional player in a few year ?

maam ! one only needs 3 things to succeed :

1. passion for it

2. discipline ( for training and study : thats hard work )

3. always following the basic fundamentals of subject

so if you have these 3 abilities you can become a pro player in few years .

I want the WGM title, not become richer hahaha

Do a lot of tactics every day and when you become a better player, do more positional chess. I suggest Chesstempo.com. there are three kind of modes standard, mixed and blitz. Standard is when you have unlimited time to solve puzzles. But there is a Fide rating estimate for your standard puzzle rating and your time on the puzzles affects it. On Mixed if you don't do it under five minutes there is a penalty. But this doesn't mean that you will drop rating you can still gain rating. In Blitz mode if you spend a lot of time you're very likely lose rating points. But I am not sure this will make you a WGM but it will make you much better.

Women have the same chess potential as men do. Go for it! Play lots of games, study hard, criticize your mistakes honestly, and hang in there
