In classical chess the high level players very often castle in the same directions. They usually choose King side castling, because it is faster. When they castle on the same side the games are not as attractive as when they castle in opposite sides of the chessboard.
The idea is.... opponents have to castle in different sides. This is the only rule that breakes the classic frame. Every thing else is the same with classical chess.
If one color (white) castles on the King’s side then the other color (black) can only castle (if he/she wants) on the Queen’s side and the opposite.
