For every game you play...

Just a suggestion. Say for every game (or "move") you play, you spend 2 minutes reading/commenting on/creating something on this site!

What do you think?

I think when one takes, one should give back.  It contributes to everyone's benefit and helps to build character.

wow! i don't know if even I can keep up with that ratio! :) seriously though, thank you SO much to all those who contribute!

i'm going to be giving everyone one more really interesting avenue to contribute on this site very soon - a "Chessopedia"! basically we are creating a wiki on this site that will server as a repository for all chess knowledge (openings, players, history, terminology, etc). That should be out in the next 1-2 weeks :)

Erik even though my lack of knowledge renders my help almost meaningless (I'm a grammar Nazi, so I can edit for clarity, punctuation, and spelling etc, etc,) that sounds too good to be true. I can actually imagine myself carousing through the wiki and spending way too much time here.

Sounds awesome, Erik :)

Oh, and chessiq.. theres no way I could keep up with that :) I just play way too many games... but, (in your blog post) you are absolutely right that you can learn a lot by studying other peoples games. I know I really need to stop playing so many games and do some actual studying for once :)

Well, between you and me(!), the participation is what matters. Don't time yourself!

I think it is a great idea!

The wiki is a great idea.  Trust erik to have it first! Smile  Seriously, I think that it could build into a fantastic resource for chess players.  Wikipedia doesn't really go into enough detail to be useful enough for most chess players.
