Forcing a draw

Sort:
chesstankie

I'm playing a game as black here, and it's reached the end. Unless someone does something stupid It's clearly a draw but my opponent won't accept. We both have a bishop (opposite coloured squares) and a pawn. Is there any way of forcing the draw?

Unfortunately, discussing a game in progress is against the rules of this site and could result in the game being adjudicated as a loss.

Remember, you can view the rules of chess anytime from the top menu. Click on "Learn" then "Chess Rules & Basics"... there's even a section on draws. The rules also permit you to consult endgame books (but not tablebases or chess engines).

TwoMove
There is a FIDE rule about making a claim for draw to arbiter when you think an opponent cannot win by normal means. It is not mentioned in link likesforests mentioned, so maybe the admins of this site think it would be too much of a pain to apply this rule?
feyterman

As mentioned, this is not a topic that is open for discussion.  The prudent thing to do would be to delete your original post.

Can't zerg-rush pawn because of the Black Bishop.

If you move Pawn up 1, Black Bishop takes pawn, knight takes Bishop.  Then if White moves his bishop, black gets a queen.

Even though, the game should draw based on material soon...or at that point

Please stop giving advice.  Anyone helping the original poster is in violation of the rules of the site.  Also, there is no knight.  What the hell are you people talking about?!
Abarai
