Why don’t you just have your outgoing challenges settings to -100 to +100?
Me as an example, I have it set to -25 and +open:

Does this still put you in the main queue for your games? Or does it come up as a custom match that someone has to click on you specifically? Cause if it's custom, I would imagine your wait is far longer than normal.

It's still the normal queue but excluding everyone outside the ratings you picked.
It'll show like (1655-1880) for me when searching.

i dont play on chess.com seriously and only use it to imrprove inuition
if you do that it tends to be easier to beat weaker players

Don't worry, you don't have to abort games because of your opponent's rating as you can easily set your challenge seek rating range to + or - 100 or whatever your are comfortable with.

Great, thank you and pot_ate for your responses.
Set it to -25 in the settings so u will stop complaining....and regarding abort part it's like 5
0 Complaints here! I'm just asking questions to get informed
I am at the 1700-1800 level here on Chess.com rapid. Sometimes I will be booting up for a game, and I will get matched against 1500's or even sometimes lower.
Ideally, I would like to play someone within a 100 points of my rating. This is to have an enjoyable game, as well as to not be concerned with losing -15 points, or -5 points, or so if a loss, or draw occurs.
So my question is, how many games can you "abort" before chess com steps in and stops you from aborting more? and if someone does this enough, can it lead to larger consequences? Up onto closing of an account, or other serious concerns.
Thanks.
