I've had freak things like that happen too!!! That's hilarious! lol on time a peice disapeared for like 12 turns and re-apeared later! Most of the time, I think it's only seen on one side. It proably looked normal for your oppenent! XD

It really was pretty intense when I read it :)
I wonder what wouldve happened when he moved his DSB. Probably you would see it correct? The server just updates again and this time without glitch? But the game was ruined... thats for sure.
ATC97, glad to see I am not alone. It is probably true that only one side sees this.
...Bg7-c1! - Black's DSB teleports to c1 and says to the White Queen, "Boo!"
@Jimmykay - Yes, with my phone.
@ElKitch - He moved it to g7 and poof, it disappeared.

look on your keyboard. with one keystroke, you can take a pic of your screen that is copied to the clipboard.
That sort of stuff has been happening to me too, on Tactics Trainer the last couple of days.

same thing happened to me, I was missing my dark-sqaured bishop in a game.
All my pieces ended up in my tuna!!!!

Same thing happened to me too. The white Q was on top of my Q so i had to play blindfolde chess with the enemy Q and with mine too, since it was missing. Just a hologram of the white Q was on d8 :P
its so freak and messes my tuna!!

I was playing a player rated a 100 points lower than me in bullet, and for some reason, however much he thought, his time did not go down. It fixed it a little bit ( on some moves the time still did not go down), but when he went to 0 seconds, It said that I had lost on time.

In other news, I have had 2 dark square bishops due to a glitch, and a piece or two on opposite sides of the board. Its happened only in maybe half a dozen games out of 5,000, so not bad chess.com!!
FREAK incident?? Losing pieces is NO reason to insult circus performers. Did you fill out a police report?? What was the bishop wearing the last time you saw him?? Maybe he had a temperature, and checked himself in for Ebolla? Maybe he had ENOUGH of your abuse and said, "SCREW this, I'm out of here"
I said the same thing myself to the Air Force in 1978. LOOK!, we'll mount a search party, but you have to understand that there are A LOT of bishops out there. The chances of these BOZOS finding YOUR shark/ bishop, THE shark are pretty remote. Look Martin, we all want to be sure. OH, I'm sorry

I was playing a live game a few days ago with the white pieces and as my opponent and I were developing our pieces, I noticed his dark square bishop just plain and flat out disappeared off of the board on my screen after it was put on g7.
Fortunately, the chat was not disabled and I asked if he could see his DSB and he did. He seemed surprised that he could see it on his screen but I couldn't see if on mine. I were him, I think I'd be too.
Then, I grabbed my DSB and lo and behold, completely under my DSB was the black DSB on c1!!!!!! The shock of seeing the black DSB there was enough to make me accidentally release the mouse and my DSB just happened to be hovering over d2 and the server dropped it there.
Luckily, my opponent's suggestion to refresh the screen fixed this issue, but it completely threw me off and I lost so much time that I couldn't recover from the mismanagement of the opening moves.
Take a look at this picture. The black dsb is on c1 and it was completely tucked under my dsb where I accidentally dropped it on d2.
I'm not bitter about this, I just think it is so weird. I've been unintentionally disconnected by the server in live games, had my screen freeze, lost time on my clock for no apparent reason, but this one takes the cake.
