Just found one, thanks. But 2 of the videos I saw regarding king and rook vs rook say "move the rook one raw closer to the king when the two kings face each other", and I found that is not enough, they have to face each other when the lonely king moved last, but I find difficulty in forcing him to do that, how do I force him to do that? I guess I will learn, but any clear suggestions are welcome.
free software to practice endgames, e.g. queen and king vs king
I found a 3rd video which says "do a free lance move" and it helped me manage it. I cannot describe what exactly for someone to do though, it seems like intuition forcing him to do that. I still have difficulty sometimes to force him do that! Can someone express it clearly before I find it by (how much?) practice? Is it that you have to follow him till the corner and there he is forced to do that?
In a King and Rook vs King endgame, you can only deliver mate my driving the King to the edge of the board using your King and rook together. You are correct in thinking that the easiest way to drive the King back is to deliver a check with the rook on the same rank as the opposing King when it moves to a square in direct opposition of your King. One method to do this is to keep your rook at a distance from the lone King and keep your King one square away from being in direct opposition of the other King. The main things to remember are that your two pieces have to work together and to not move your King into a position where you are in direct opposition of the other King.
You might want to look into getting a book on chess endgames. It will be easier to understand topics when you can play through examples and read through the explanations.
They say "you have reached the maximum allowed endgame problems per day" and they ask for money. Any other free software for practice?

The pawn and king vs king has an error, it says "endgame failed" whereas the black king is under check. Any other free software? I googled and I did not find any.
Now they answered me and they say there is no error, it just calculates more positions ahead.
Do you know any? Is there one in chess.com?
