I have just finished the French Defence course with a very tricky move 3.Bd3.

It was an alternative that I liked the most. I've practiced it a lot with my friend and sparring-partner and I'm sure she also can prove that it's too hard to find the best continuation for black if it really exists.

all I can think of is that black can force a queen trade lol, it becomes very boring

Ok, I take 7.Qd4 Qd4 8.Nd4 Bc5 9.Nb5 Na6 10.a3 and it's easy to play with white, they have some good plans
