Look at your chess rating like a stock market chart. Someday the market will do better than others. Consolidation, manipulation, then distribution. It other words you will have times when you are stagnant- when you’re jumping up and down in a specific area. Times when your elo makes a sudden jerk one way or another. Then a huge burst to one way or another. We call it a FVG or fair value gap. It’s when you return to a center area to retest. All you have to do is prove that you are capable of your highs and it will go back up and create new highs.

Bad example, the Stock market can also just crash to 1/100th of the original price, unlike chess elo where its unlikely Chanman will ever hit 20elo

Just when you reach 2000 quit rated, and go play unrated until youre 100% sure you improved wnough to improve your elo

That's quite a good idea actually

whats wrong with my brain? whenever i tilt its just impossible to come back. exact same thing happened during the 1800s, when i just plateued and tilted for 1.5 months, and my brain just clicked someday and i climbed to 2k in 17 days, but now im struggling again.

This actually happened to me, my peak was low 2000s, then i titled and fell down to 1800s, and then i quit chess to focus a bit more on studies. Now when i have returned to the chess world, my elo dropped faster than a conon during the world war 2, it was like i had lost all my skills. even dropping below 1300. Its just a matter of consistency. Yes, there will be adrenaline rushes where you will be able to see the board more clearly, but during these tilts, its important to do as much as position analysis as possible. My peak on lichess was 2297 (sad it was not 2300) but then there was a drastic fall, i dont even know now if i will be able to hold 1600 rating on lichess. Its a matter of time, practicing daily and solving puzzles playing games will return me my lost skill but the only thing to do is not lose hope.
