Hey Brassking. This may or may not help. I have Shredder which actually costed me $30 instead of the Fritz big money but anyways that is besides the point. So, in Shredder you go to Options>Book Options and right there you checkmark the way you want it. For example, in Book Options, Sheddrer offers: Use Opening Book or Use Engine Book... and so on. I wish this helps somehow. Cheers.
Frtiz 13 - Get Rid of Opening Bool to Analyse First Few Moves

Ok. Thanks for the replies. I am actually interested in analyzing the early moves to help validate them. It might be premature technology, but in a "cloud" environment, aggregating computer analysis on the first few moves might help answer the old question of e4 or d4, even though there are a bajillion possible moves.!
I am hoping there is some help out there for this. I am trying to take advantage of Fritz 13 "Let Check" features which accesess an online databse of analyzed position, instead of relying on engines to recompute the position over and over. When I use it to analyse a game, it reports/analyzes the game except it skips the first few moves - the book moves. I want Fritz to return the results for these first few moves also. I am assuming that Fritz is recognizing these at book moves and provides no analysis, but how do I tell Fritz to ignore book? I have deleted the books, I have created blank books (which has created the desired result in other programs) but Fritz always seems to know to skip the first few moves. I have even tried to use different engines, so I believe the problem is in the GIU. Any ideas?
Thanks
