I doubt it too. But NN can be used to detect faked photos, audio recordings, handwriting and so on. For example if someone adds an object in a photo it can be detected because of the noise every camera has. So maybe a NN can detect cheating in chess – sure it can, the question is if it is good and easy enough for using it on chess servers. To be honest I think it will not work that good, the only input data are the moves and the are used thinking time. At least it’s diffcult to imagine that it is working.
Future cheat detection!! Will current cheat detecting systems be able to detect Leela?

With rapid increase in strength of Leela , she has reached rating 1800-2000(depends on GPU power), I highly doubt any current cheat system will be able to detect Leela vs human. She learned like human from zero knowledge, she think like human based on positional understanding.
2000 rating is 99% or it is enough to win majority of human players. One Leela tester said he used Leela on other site to test her strength against human. To check how leela play, check on "match" games, not from "user games"(user games are played with randomness to explore new idea)
