game aborted mid game?

this just happened to me right after i had mate in 1 

I experienced the same thing. Had mate in 3 and game aborted. Nonsense. I got no notifications if the server would reset soon. 

when the connection bar goes red and forced resigned for me too

If someone wanna know this happens when chess.com restarts their servers

The game got aborted, when I am in a winning position. Looks like there is a bug that allows players to abort the game whenever they want. This is allowing them to save the the ratings when they are just about to lose. Chess.com, Please fix the bug. It is very annoying when the game gets aborted while you are in a winning position. It makes so much sense now to use lichess instead of chess.com, these guys are looting money and offering very bad service

Yeah, happened to me too about half an hour ago.

The live server code get updates and undergoes maintenance for other potential issues. In order to do that, it has to go down. The site isn't designed to have two instances running that would allow a new instance to be brought up in the new code while the old instance drops members after games finish. Therefore, it will need to restart and drop games at times.

There is always an announcement/banner, long before it happens, unless it crashes or there is an emergency need.

its not a big deal considering they need to maintain the servers too or else the site can crash and also if tournament ends the game gets aborted.

I can not connect either for an hour now.

Yes i am in good position the game suddenly aborted and no result declared. One more thing i couldn't find that game in my logs

The same happened to me right now. Maybe the server restarted. I don't know though. 
In my case, I was losing so got a bit lucky I guess, haha.
