GCD World Chess Championship

I'm going to host a candidates tournament to determine who will play in the general chess discussion world chess championship match

It will be a double round robin, 14 round tournament just like the real candidates. And the world championship match will be the same format as the real one too

Here are the 8 ways you can qualify for the GCD candidates:

1. Win the open section of the 90+30 tourney

The person who does the best on average out of all the above tournaments can also qualify

I'm not sure yet. To get more people interested I might make it shorter like 30+0. It's gonna take a while before it starts though lol

I'll just start accepting 3rd places and 4th places etc

I was thinking of adding a rating spot but I didn't want Lightning to start farming against 1200s to reach the minimum game requirement lol

Also if someone has already qualified and wins a tourney then it goes to the 2nd place person
