Been a few threads on this in the past so you're not alone. Some folks can change from a 2D computer perspective to a 3D "real life" game with absolutely no problem and some can't. It's the reason lots of folks have chess boards next to their computers and that probably helps. At a certain point in development it probably doesn't matter; I wouldn't know...
