Thoughts on the chess.com logo?

It's a pawn. It's simple and instantly recognizable. And they use green throughout the site. Not a bad logo.

I like it because it shows a green pawn which is like a neutral color indicating any color and no bias. The pawn represents all pieces and is the most abundant piece on the chessboard. Also, it shows a partly checkered chessboard in the background in the correct pattern (bottom white square is always on the right). The wooden chessboard represents realism and the animated pawn represents online. It's simple and easy to recognize, in my opinion.
