How to study boring chess opening and endgame theories?

Does that help? When, do you think, will you have a rating of 1800 using that method? No chess books at all eh? So you miss out on all the rich history tied to positions and ideas. I guess you don't need them then right? You're just going to "REMEMBER" every single hint some engine gives. Good luck!

Engines such as Stockfish have a handicap. They suffer something called "The Horizon Effect". A good example is move 47 of that game between Topalov and Shirow (Watched on St Louis Chess club) where Shirov plays Bh3! A classical engine would not evaluate that idea for the first 70 odd depth.

Another example I came across is https://youtu.be/kSW_G7pQjKk?t=271 . Here Stockfish fails to see the draw until you help him over its horizon. Just an engine? Good luck buddy XD
