I'm starting to draw a lot!

I've found the same thing....mainly that playing for the win also involves weakening my own position, so I've been taking more draws.

A club I went to for 2-3 years had a print out every week of the member's win/loss/draw , a club rating, and a few stats.  I noticed the stronger the player in general the higher their draw percentage -- the highest percentages were 9-10%.  To me that meant more that they were solid styles that also knew endgames. 

The highest rated active member however had one of the lowest drawing percentages, he wasn't bad at endgames but had an aggressive attacking style and like Schachgeek said, preferred to play for a win even if he might end up losing.

In general though you're right, beginners rarely draw, I think it's a good sign.
