I kinda like the addition of the spam bots. It would be nice to hear fred bloggs bash the thread again too
That’s an interesting point about how rematch law impacts case outcomes. It’s always helpful to look at past rulings and judicial trends to understand how similar disputes might be handled. For anyone exploring more details, resources like can provide added insight into how legal processes unfold in different situations.

Suppose someone doesn't decline the rematch, but doesn't accept it either, choosing instead to play a new game, and the mandatory rematch. And then a new game.
What is the player who offered a rematch to do? He can't withdraw the challenge, because that would put HIM in prison (given your law).
If he leaves the computer and the challenge is accepted, his game will be abandoned on move 1 - and counted as if it never existed!
Due to the difficult situation he could be put in, perhaps neither player will offer a rematch, but that puts them BOTH in prison.
This will result in a mass decrease of chess games - as nobody is willing to risk hours (perhaps years) of their life.
Chess.com will become inactive, eventually becoming a site where only close friends play each other - removing nearly all the ad revenue, resulting in a shutdown of the site.
Thus, creation of this law will destroy Chess.com as you know it.
You have been warned.
it's better than being soft on crime
