I once asked Peter Svidler if he reads any chess books , he basically state, that he read lots of books when he was young and it was enough.
I'm sure players like Anand and others top caliber , probably just need computers and not books or maybe somee informators (magazines).
So what rating range do you think players stop reading books?
About three decades ago, I made a habit of asking players about their reading interests. For players about 1800 and above, the answer was usually to only express interest in Informants.
I'm looking for books on classical games, similar to books by Kasparov my great predecessors, which covers classical games with commentary, history and modern analysis, which points out mistakes and how previous generations GM would play this or that and now GM would play something like that.
