in live chess I have my min and max set to 1290 to 1600.

I have my min. rating set to 100 above my rating to infinity.I think it is cool to never exactly know what rating your next game will be at.It is kind of like a lottery!

I only play turn-based chess and go with whatever ratings are pre-programmed by chess.com (mostly out of laziness:)

I don't think meeting players rated too high will help you. I have tried to play 2000+ rated player and they just slaughter one and you have no idea what you did wrong. if they explain what you did wrong then it might be a lottery ticket.

I rarely am playing Live Chess here, but Online Chess I set my minimum rating to my rating or a few points less, and maximum to 2300. I'd set it higher but I doubt anyone past 2300 would even consider my game and I don't know how high the ratings go on Chess.com. The higher rated my opponent, the happier I am. Smile

For bullet (the only type of game i play much) usually about 2050, or 2100 on the rare occasions I get my rating over 2200. Much higher than 2100 and there aren't enough players

I don't have a maximum as I can sometimes beat 2500s

Usually + or - 200 for me
