Will Playing Tactically When my Style is Positional Improve my Chess Skill?

I think the knock against Steve Perry is that he didnt have a "Rock" voice.  I wouldnt put him on al ist of the greatest, but i like his voice.

Can we correctly assume that you do not want to present any reasons to doubt that KingSideInvasion has answers to questions of that sort?"

What is the point of this endless, passive-aggressive whining? The OP's question has been answered at length. If it hasn't been answered in exactly the form and wording that you attempt to demand, that is a "You" problem.  If you think that endlessly spamming every chat with the same tired quotations is useful, well, it's a free country.

This is why we have moved on to music.

Dennis DeYoung is an very underrated singer.

Yeah, he's my #1 best of all-time.   People laugh when they hear the name "Styx", but those guys had some serious talent and song writing skills.

As a singer he had a powerful voice that I liked but I felt he lacked expression to be put on the greatest list.   Any particular song reference?

All of his Styx songs, but how about Suite Madame Blue and Lady, for starters?   He was also amazing on background vocals (Crystal Ball and Snowblind come to mind here).

Always a HUGE fan of Kansas.

All we are is dust in the wind...I put this on for one of my young nieces a few months back. She said it was 'beautiful'.

"...well, it's a free country."

Unless you live in California.

Years ago at one of those nostalgia tours, my wife and I saw Kansas, The Tubes, and Steppenwolf.  $10...what a deal.

We are the same age, and maybe it was different at your high school.  But you weren't considered "cool" if you liked bands like Styx, Journey, or any of those "soft rock" bands.  To be really cool, you had to be listening the Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and those types of bands.

Yeah, I know.  I liked Van Halen, Molly Hatchet, Skynyrd, Ozzy, AC/DC, Boston, etc in high school too.   I didn't start appreciating Styx, Kansas, Rush, Journey and Genesis until I was in my 30's or so.   In high school, I was more into electric guitar.   Now I'm more into great vocals.

Even Californians can make massive "Possibly of Interest" posts. And isn't that what true freedom is all about?

Nice.  I can beat that though.  I got to see Kansas for free, in downtown Greenville, SC.   They had a big festival there and Kansas was the headliner.   I also snagged 4th row center seats for Styx and Kansas in Orlando, Florida in the late 90's.   Best concert I ever saw.

Styx lady - had heard that one.  Powerful voice.  Still don't feel it. Reminded me a little of air supply 😬

One of my favorite activities here is to go to drmrboss's profile.  I get the early jump on the chronic offenders.  Amazing how they all know to go right to his friends list.

IMKeto

Not gonna lie...fan of air supply too.

IMKeto

I think Badfinger was underrated too.  I think most of those guys ending up killing themselves.

Video killed the radio star.  Also when one listens to Dio's larger than life voice and watches his tiny frame in videos,  it totally kills it.
