How possible is it to get good at chess without studying openings etc. and books that I find boring? Good to me would be maybe a 1200 to 1400 rating. I love playing chess but having to study chess material takes the fun out of it for me.. Any of you got reasonably good without a lot of studying? Tell me how it worked for you.
