Would doing an hour of puzzles on lichess (coz its free) every day be very helpful

Yeah, doing puzzles is helpful. Having a routine is helpful.
Be sure to have some kind of feedback loop. That means puzzles you fail, games you lose, and even good things like an instructive example you see, save it and review it again later.
For example, maybe there was an interesting tactic you saw a few days ago... can you remember it? Can you set up an example using that theme? If it's a few days later and you can't, then do the puzzle again.
Treat yourself like a student... if a student asked you "what was my mistake in this game and how do I avoid it in the future" how would you answer? That's the sort of mindset to have when looking at your games and doing puzzles IMO.

I started out at around 1400 and just from playing a lot, and studying with the free account, as much as you can, puzzles are helpful, and now I’m at 1600+ in two fun years.
I’m sure you can improve a lot faster though.

Bullet doesn't really help you improve. play rapid and analyze your games, it may not be the best way to improve, but its still good.
