Low levels of acetylcholine and possibly vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) are likely to play a role.
Getting tired of thinking?
Yes, it's very easy to lose focus when playing for a long time. The first time I experienced this was a few weeks ago, when I played only my 2nd long classical time control game (90|30).
So yeah, trouble focusing on a game after many hours is something normal. Even GMs get tired, not after one such session, but more after many days - that's for sure.
loll, at least, im not alone xd. But i really think, it has something to do with physical condition of a player, but i might be wrong
I'm a vegetarian/vegan..... most of the time. But after about 6 weeks of being without meat or eggs, I get really short focussed and down. Then I indulge myself in eating meat. The next day I feel like I've risen from the dead. Pardon the pun.
When I first joined I played multiple standards the first couple days and as I got tired I had same problem. I shot up to 1858 then played a over 1900 played and I had that dude. There was a line that he would've had to sac a rook to stop mate, but my brain was fried and I was low on time and missed it so instead of being well over 1900, I lost like 100 points. I had a couple other mishaps like that too and my RD has settled down and I'm around 1700. I'm not playing multiple standards a day anymore nor am I going to play when tired. I'm going to just focus hard on 1 or 2 games on my days off work.
Well, here is the thing, cant speak for others, but personally, i'm having that problem. Lemme explain this, it's often happens to me, like after i finished 4-5(15-30 min games), and getting started a new one, and in the middle of the game, i just start off throwing my pieces, therfore, my analytic cappabilites worn out. I'm guessing that bcuz of my physical condition(im spending too much time in front of PC), but i was wondering, if any of you experiencing the same issue?
