I find it striking that only 10% or less players say ‘gg’, aka good game, at the end of matches. I’d love to see that etiquette resurge, just as shaking your opponents hand in real life after a match does.

Hoping this post will gain some traction or bring up discussion as to why individuals don’t say gg at the end of a match.

All comments and perspectives are welcome, there are no wrong answers, we are civilized and playing a game of tact, strategy, and respect. Let’s act like it 🙌🏼

When you understand that the only place this happens is online, and in OTB play 99.99% of players say "good game" youll know why. 

Being anonymous does things to some people.

You might be right, but it appears in other online gaming genres. Such as Starcraft.

I bet there’s a way to shift this culture.
