On Monday, May 6th, the Bergen Chess Mates club hosted a 24 board simultaneous exhibition with Grandmaster Mackenzie Molner. A lifelong New Jerseyan, Molner has won the state championship twice and has won or come close to winning many other national tournaments throughout his distinguised chess career that has spanned nearly 3 decades.
One by one, Molner gradually eliminated his 24 opponents, including myself and 23 others of varying ages and playing strength. Attached below are the 18 other I was able to collect. There were 4 additional games that I don't have and thus aren't included. The 18 opponents plus myself, (and our live USCF ratings) whose games I collected were: William Guskind (1861), Jeffrey Krostosky (1294), Dana Sylvander (1615), Derek Landel (1825), Ronald Lopez (1625), Justin Rosales (1820), Julian Ma (1901), Lev Zilbermintz (1900), Justin Appleton (1516), Bart Willems (1399), Carlos Moisa (1500), Jacob Chavis (155), Leiv Freed (397), Brian Vettoso (1389), Izzy Beers (849), Russ Hasse (unr.), Ari Berjian (1189), Gianluca Montalti (1826), Slawomir Ksiazek (1156), and Yashas Totade (716)
Because I imported this from a study, the chapters here are all listed as unknowns. To see who the opponent was, check above the game. The one that says "cracked Molner simul" is Julian Ma.
Anyways, big thanks to Bergen Chess Mates and to Mac for such a fun event!
