GM Peter Leko needs help in getting his account verified

The very strong Hungarian Super Grand Master Peter Leko (@lekopeter) joined Chess.com about 8 days ago. But apparently he's having trouble getting his account verified. Can someone please look into this and help him get his account verified as soon as possible?

I mean, we don't want someone like Peter Leko giving up on Chess.com because of bad customer service.

According to the note he posted, the site is looking into it. If he filled out the title verification form and uploaded his documents then the staff member that handles it should get it done soon.

It is also possible they have attempted to contact him and it went to a spam folder.

Yeah... it didn't take him much longer than 8 days to almost become World Champion.

Assuming that's genuinely him, filling out the title verification form should get it resolved pretty quickly.

Looks like Peter Leko closed his account sad.png

NMs to GMs manage this, to provide the verification needed and Chess.com manages to  work through it as well.

What is the hiccup?

Was it genuinely him?

If he had waited a bit longer, he would have found out. Why don't you run your brainchild over his games. I suspect that his games were of the highest quality.

Some astute critics here seemed to think so, anyway. Genuine GM's are hard to find.

That's my first suspicion; This ought to be dull routine for chess.com and we know that titled players manage their part with little fuss.

I've got minimal information here, of course.

No, it wasn't.
