Can you guys share with me here about the grandmasters birthday.

At least your fave GM.

Maybe one of their birthday is the same with me.

I'm gonna write them in my notebook's calendar.

There are 1380 GMs alive.

What are the odds that every day is at least one GM's birthday?

There's an interesting paradox surrounding birthdays and people in the same room.

Quite a good way to win a cheeky bet actually. I sometimes work on vessels and there is a crew list containing names, D.O.B, Nationality of every crew members and Divers etc.

When I was last on there were 86 people on the vessel and the bet was to guess how many pairs of people share a birthday. The number is always much higher than you would guess without knowing about the idea behind it. in this instance there were 14 pairs sharing birthdays and that was without including instances of 3 people sharing the same day.

I was surprised (I chose 6 thinking it was a reasonable guess) 15minutes and £20 lost later we got the actual number.

With 1380 GMs in a room the amount of pairs sharing a birthday would be huge.

Yeah, sure, but how many days without a GM birthday, do you think?

Mathematically there should be nearly 4 per day. Who knows though, there could be a paradox for that as well. There could easily be 1 day of the year without a GMs birthday
