Just take a look at the final position in the four games played yesterday. If you want more advanced lessons in the endgame, just start analysing from farther back in these games!

This is what Grischuk said about his endgame:

Grischuk  praised his opponent’s play: “I think Teimour played very well. I completely underestimated the dangers in the endgame.” Radjabov, who probably missed a chance on move 56: “I don’t know if I’m winning but it should be close.” About defending the infamous f+h rook ending, Grischuk said: “I had quite some experience. In one month I had two games with Pavel Eljanov. Both times I had the pawns myself; I drew the first one and won the second. And I read some articles about it.

@Smyslovfan: at the last diagram you posted, the B should be a Black one

Right, sorry about that, Eseles!

Here's the correct one:

I learned pretty much all I know from IM Rensch's K+P ending videos and practice. I am comfortable in pretty much any K+P ending now.

Best way to learn the endgame is to play it

"As one by one I mowed them down, my superiority soon became apparent."

– Jose Raul Capablanca

With all the theory needed now way to learn it own your own. Have to have a book else you will so many games in the end game and wondering how you went wrong.

The end result is that you quit playing chess and start playing checkers or move to start challening the old ladies to a game of bingo. And jump up and down when you crush them. Is that any way for a chess player to live out his/her life? NO
