I was thinking the whole set. But, far and away the best books on checkmate patterns are Renaud and Kahn, The Art of the Checkmate and Henkin, 1000 Checkmate Combinations.

Gude is pretty good, though.

That one’s okay. Most on the shelf are better, but I often tell children they might like it. It has lots of diagrams, minimal variations, and is quite superficial.

Renaud and Kahn differs in approach from Henkin. To an extent, Gude combines both approaches.

Recommends the same books I do: Renaud and Kahn; Henkin; Gude; and also Gilllam, which I did not mention. A school where I coach has a copy of Gillam, I've looked at it there and concur that it is good.

Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess - Fischer
Chess: 5334 Problems, Combinations and Games - Polgar

Bobby Fischer is not the author of Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess. What you get from that boom, you’ll get in triplicate from the first chapter of Henkin, 1000 Checkmate Combinations.

The Polgar brick is a good resource.
