lol. I installed a grammar system to fix those kind of mistakes (that helped me find out that grammar wasn't spelt as grammer lol (and I just found out that spelt is not a word))

Sorry for my error, yes, the correct word is "wrote", but don't forget that i am italian, english is not my language happy.png

V3 is already for the knackers yard, the code used is also far too heavy, v4 is already in progress

What is being called v4 internally is the switchout of the Javascript framework. It won't be a major change like v2 to v3. At least from a visual perspective; it still will be a lot of work and testing.

Is heavy for very old systems, like all the other web sites.

I have a medium/bad PC and a good tablet. V3 run perfectly in both systems.

i have an 8-core CPU and 100+Mbps line, trust me, 64Mb of adverts (whether you see them or not) is way too heavy...

That is most likely caused by bad ads from the ad network the site is using, not a direct site problem and not likely something that has been happening for an extended time.

so, 64Mb adverts were not the original cause? Come on Martin, get real...

64Mb!!!

Martin_Stahl

It isn't that hard to understand what I posted.

I'm saying that the bad ad is causing the 64 MB and that is a recent issue, not the slowness issue people have experienced previously.

They will get whatever ad is causing that download removed from the ad network rotation for the site. Being a holiday weekend, it may take a little longer to get fixed.

The size of an advert is not a V2/V3 issue, it's an issue of an oversized advert regardless of what system is used to view it. I agree that's too large but that is not related to the software version here.

so why does it only slow down v3?

Martin_Stahl

v3 is going to be a little slower than v2 due to the added Javascript framework and additional processing used for that and how content is loaded.

I guess it's also possible there is either a different ad network on v3 or some kind of compatibility issue with the ad network, though I find the latter less likely. That doesn't take into account potential bad ads, of course.

For mure $0.17 a day you can have a paid membership and no ads happy.png Just saying

I want to try member support, but I have a question. I am really busy with school and band on weekdays (and sometimes weekends), so how active do you have to be for this job?

Is there anything else that comes with the job, like admin powers, or one of those little staff banner things next to my username?

One more question. Do you get paid, and if so how much, and what bank account would the money go to? (I will be willing to do it regardless)

When I last had a chance they wanted full-time days and I'm pretty sure you have to be at least 18 (you didn't say what type of school so I thought I would throw that out there).

As to the rest, that would be between the site and the person they wanted to hire.

stewardjandstewardj

There is no way I can do that full time though.
