Good Chess Tips

One tip that most experienced chess players know is that you should never bring your queen out, early in the game, because it makes the queen more likely to get captured, when you need it most.

Could you guys post some more tips?

I once came across a gas station burrito labled as "The Bomb"

At a tournament, "The Bomb" and a few cups of coffee do not make a good pre-first round meal.

In the endgame, your King is one of your stronger attacking pieces.

1) Remember the management of time is the very essance of endgame play

2) When ahead in material in won endgames continually exchange and simplify

3) The easiest endings to draw are those with Bishops of opposite colors

4) Never rush your attack and middle game operations always make sure your preparations are as thorough and complete as possible

5) If your opponent plays soundly according to general principles from the start of any game do likewise don't break the rules first or you'll get eaten alive by your opponents who know better

6) In inferior endgames don't make unnecessary simplification

7) Castle your King as soon as possible never neglect King safety!

8) Playing with no plan and too fast is guaranteed to get you checkmated and eaten alive slow and steady does it!

9) Your pawns are the backbone of your army and the very heart and soul of Chess as Philidor said think very, very carefully before moving any of them poorly thought out pawn moves can create all kinds of structural weakness's your opponent can exploit.

10) Remember that Chess is a game of understanding not memorization!

Make sure you develop all your pieces and put them in good positions.

Lol wafflemaster.

Also, don't sacrifice all of your pawns; they become a valuable asset in endgams like this one (we start on move 34 of 43):
