Great chess analysts of all time?

I notice a lot of threads re: "Top 10 Chessplayers of All Time" but what about the "Top Chess Theorists of All Time" ie players who have advanced our knowledge of the game thru their books and/or games even if they were not necessarily super-duper GMs their entire career?

Here's my list, in alpha order since I'm not sure how to rank them

Nimzovitch

Reti

Staunton

Steinitz

Tarrasch

Tchigorin

Heh, as if chess stopped developing after 1930. I think the development of modern chess strategy basically _started_ after WWII. Some others:

Botvinnik, at the base of Kasparov and Kramnik's success

Kasparov, Kramnik - best opening theorists of the last three decades, top level chess is now about opening preparation that goes all the way into the endgame and these two were at the front of the movement

Fischer - for starting that movement in the first place.

And all the other world champions after WW2. And Bronstein.

I didn't mention anyone past the 1930s because I can't think of any books as influential as Nimzovitch's "My System" or Tarrasch's "The Game of Chess" in the last 60 yrs or so.  I think more modern players have made improvements and refinements of course but nothing as monumental as say, making hypermodern chess part of mainstream chess theory. But then again this is all about everyone's opinion here.
