Just buy one of the courses and if you feel it is a scam you will get a full refund on your purchase. I wanna say that these courses are very instructive and packed with information that is absolutely mind opening and not published in books.
If you are only 17, how can anyone enter into a binding contract with you? Send money, get nothing ... too bad a minor cannot legally enter a binding contract. Just the Lawyer in me.
I have purchased several packages from Igor Smirnov which included Self Taught Grandmaster, Grandmaster's Opening Laboratory and Grandmaster's Positional Understanding. I have found these packages from Igor Smirnov very instructive and they have helped me produce excellent results in recent tournaments. I simply want others to also have access to this information as I feel it will help you guys significantly improve your game.
This website has been published fairly recently by GM Igor Smirnov and that could be one of the reasons why many players are not aware of it. Also, I am pretty sure that Igor has put up some testimonials on his website.
If you click on the package called Self Taught Grandmaster, there will be a short video providing further information and if you scroll down the page there are testimonials by various chess players.
That's not correct. I found this website in September after which my results have been quite stable and decent.

You got 5 video lessons (each 30 minutes or less) and a bunch of games which you shall analys and work with yourself. Igor provides comments on each game.
If you do the work, I assume you will be a better player.
But I don't think Igor's course contain any unique information.
I'm not sure about the Grandmaster's Secrets. The one i found really instructive was the Grandmaster's Positional Understanding.

Igor Smirnov's approach is more on the psychological side which I believe is the right way to go instead of just re iterating the countless opening,middle game and ending books we already have.
