I like mine; pity I have to sell it (which is why the picture is readily at hand);

Here's my pride & joy set, made of onyx & marble, bought in Mexico:

I have posted this in another thread but I have in the last six months or so become way too attached to a chessboard maker in India.  I have just bought two more sets bringing the total up to 8.  They make many sets and boards but how they hooked me was their magnetic travel sets. Just beautiful wood sets and boards.  I'll be posting a whole thread dedicated to my recent purchases when I get the two boards I just ordered today.  What I love about them is they do custom work for me for a very modest price.  Here's a custom set I had made in dark rosewood, 16" set, magnetic with AN engraving:

I havent seen nicer chess sets anywhere than at the houseofstaunton.com but I dont care much for decorative and/or theme sets.

I'm a total classicist and find the older Jaques antique designs to have the best looks.

Give me that in ivory and I'd be quite warm and fuzzy.

Anthony CG's pic of the House of Staunton set is the one set I would really love. Can't afford it, but there is always the lottery...
