so you lost, boohoo....If you time out you didn't move.. Drinking? Smokin sumtin??
Guy I was playing with stopped playing but I lost by time out?

For the 1,000,000,000th. time.
hat likely happened is that you had a brief disconnect and the server may not have received your move.
The server is the keeper of the accurate time. With the lag compensation algorithms the times on the clients may not be accurate. That is why you may occasionally see clocks adjusted in games, even without increments.

You maybe right about that tho the hostel wifi ain't stable ... I even sent him a msg telling him wake [Language - Mod.] up 😩😂😂

You should probably review the site rules.

This is annoying. There really needs to be a forum FAQ with questions like this and a notice before starting a new topic to read the FAQ first. And that way any post like this gets removed.

At the end of the day, its an online game with an online rating. idk why you guys are so serious, winning/losing an online game means nothing to me

Amen!

A forum FAQ would just be another thing nobody reads like the TOS.
Doesn't matter. It creates a standard to delete posts like this.

Most things are here: https://www.chess.com/legal
But some additional rules are listed in the forums: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chesscom-posting-rules
And Off-Topic has some other, slightly more lenient rules.

You sure your opponent sees those chats? Because, when you are disconnected, you can type in messages and hit enter. They show up in the client but don't get sent. If the client realizes you are disconnected, then you'll see an option to resend.
So this happened today don't know if it's a bug or the guy was hacker, after I did my move he was just thinking and until his time ended and DANG it says black when's by time out (he was black)?
Any body else experienced something like this before or is it only me?
