Guys, I just found out what chess was. Any suggestions?

Yo i lowkey thought chess was just a mispelling of chest. One of my friends suggested chess.com and I am 340. No matter what i do, I lose every game, even to bots. I know some people are insanely talented at chess (well I know now) and I know some great chess players use this website. Anyway, that's all i just wanted to reach out for suggestions. Pls answer : )

wdym by tactics?

Tactics is when you win material by skewers, x rays, double checks or other 20 diff ones where you either win a pawn or a piece or you check mate your opponent's king. Whereas strategy is more like a plan you come up with during the middle game.

Tactics - SHORT TERM, USUALLY 1-3 MOVES

Strategy - LONG TERM, USUALLY 8-10 MOVES OF PLANNING

BTW THERE'S ATLEAST 50 DIFFERENT TACTICS AND YOU CAN LOOK IT UP ON GOOGLE AND LEARN ALL THE TACTICAL PATTERNS AND IT WOULD HELP YOU SO MUCH

Play everyday, make sure you do your puzzles, play longer time controls to think, maybe get a chess book, and make sure you take a look at grandmaster games. You'll get to 1000 elo in no time. Also, check out Remote Chess Academy on YouTube. It's an amazing channel for growth.
