It's not about his age when he cheated, but rather his response when he was finally outed in 2022. At 19 he was still denying he had ever cheated. Rather than just being forth coming and admitting the fault, he acted like a victim and entitled bully. It is an example of the Streisand Effect. It was his response, as an adult, to getting caught cheating, that got him labeled as untrustworthy.
