Has Anyone Played Chess Using An Hour Glass Type of Time Control

Just wondered about this today... What would a game of Chess be like with say 30 seconds or maybe a minute on the clock moving back and forth as players made their moves.

I have no idea how that happened... I'm using the android app, added my second question and when i posted it there were two... And it seems impossible to delete the second thread from the android app.
