I signed up last weekend, and have been enjoying the site. The bots do seem to play differently, though I suspect they’re over-rated. I read the developer saying somewhere that the ratings are equivalent to FIDE, but they seem closer to Lichess to me. I’m no expert though, so maybe some people with more experience than I have will weigh in. So far, though, I think the site looks promising, and I’m also enjoying using the ‘practice’ section to try and improve my dreadful endgames and practice my openings against the bots that play specific openings. I hope it does well - it’s got lots of promise I think.
Has anyone tried the Chessiverse bots?
I took advantage of the 50% off sale over Christmas and purchased a lifetime membership. I am so glad that I did. Yes, I'm one of those people who get stressed playing live people online--don't ask me why. Maybe it's the thought that some 12 year old out there in the ether is gloating over his win, or maybe it's the time pressure, or maybe I feel that the rating actually means something about my place in this universe. Whatever. But with Chessiverse I'm having a ball playing the bots for rating points (probably close to Lichess ratings), and I switch back and forth from working my way up through the rating levels and having the computer assign a game to me based on my current rating. I play with unlimited time controls, so I can take a break if life calls me away. There are a lot of other features I have yet to explore, and my hope is that the team continues to refine and develop their site over time. My only fear is that they will go belly-up financially and disappear. However, the team, especially John Bartholomew, seems quite dedicated to making this work. I hope that, once word gets around about how enjoyable the site is, they will have another sale to bring in even more members.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone here has tried the Chessiverse site and what they thought of it? Might be interesting to try for people who enjoy playing against "human-like" bots with different playing styles? If anyone has tried it, what did you think - do the bots with different styles really play differently, and are the ratings quite accurate or not?

I saw a recent Youtube video by John Bartholomew talking about it, and it looked interesting to me.
