You should be able to use the Help option in the menu and there should be a Contact Support button

Thank you Martin! I don't think is available anymore. If you type contact support the guide on how to contact support pops up but the help menu doesn't give you the option anymore.

For those with the issue where the Contact Support button isn't showing, try it again now. If that doesn't help they clearing your browser cache and try again.

Staff made a change.

I prefer to play chess with one friend until i improve. When I attempt that I frequently get as my opponent I someone other than my friend. So I "x" out of the game only to gather someone's ire (I was recently "kicked" for half an hour). Please correct these problems. I do not appreciate the program doing what it thinks I mean or to dirty my reputation. Peraps a human being should answer my complaints.

If you're doing a direct challenge you shouldn't get anyone else.

There are a few ways you can start a game with a friend:

Hey folks,
Mobile app is acting up. Tried deleting all data, cache, reinstalling app (twice), reassigned dns server, Tried Game optimization, no joy.
Works fine on website, just buggy on app. Puzzles, games, whatever. Make one move, then it times out and shows "no connection. Enjoy offline mode" until I refresh the page. No other apps are affected. Internet speeds in the 150 MBPS range.
Sent help request through website, no response. Please help?

Dear Chess.com, Hello, I timed out all my daily games due to the internet outage in Iran. Due to the Iran-Israel war, the internet was completely out in Iran. I would appreciate it if you don't count my last games as losses and restore my previous rating.I have lost all my games in standard and 960 chess since June 21st due to timeouts.

Repetition: I’ve just had two draws when opponent moves same piece - not three times as in the past but once at end games - anyone know what to do?

Subject: Request for Consideration of Elo Point Deduction in Case of Connectivity Issues

Dear Chess.com Support Team,

I hope you are well. I am writing to share a concern I have about the loss of Elo points in online games, especially in blitz matches, due to unexpected internet disconnections or power outages.

Living in Nepal, where power cuts and unstable internet connections happen frequently, I find it frustrating to lose Elo points not because of my gameplay but because of situations beyond my control. I have been in good positions and then lost simply because my connection dropped, and I couldn’t get back online in time. This feels unfair, as the match outcome is influenced by internet issues instead of my chess skills.

I kindly ask that Chess.com consider a way to protect players from losing ratings in these unavoidable cases. Maybe you could create a system that allows reconnection during a grace period, or add a "connection safeguard" feature that protects ratings when a disconnection is detected instead of a resignation. These changes would greatly enhance fairness for players in areas with unreliable internet and power.

Chess is about skill and strategy, and it is frustrating when the rating system does not reflect that. I hope Chess.com will think about this issue and look into potential solutions.

Thank you for your time and for providing a great platform for chess fans around the world.

Warm regards,

Samyog Pradhan
