Chess has made me want to mate more often...
Has changed you psychologically?

After seeing this video, I changed my point of view on GM.
I hope Korshnoi was only an exception.

when any kid learn to play chess and the teacher chess taught them at school, they will become good and behavour, intelligence too. they pass their exam at school cos of chess i think. i reading that somewhere or perhap film, Ted guy actor acting pretend to be teacher taught kid to play chess not sure. is that what you trying to say state of mind?

I mean kind of whether the people become more easy to anger, or to become frustrated when they play. Perhaps people become more confrontational in general conversation? I don't know since I don't know many chess players in life. I heard some people can acquire what could be described as symptoms of autism because they care passionately about playing chess but not about what others have to say on other topics of life, for example.

Yes for sure. I am more proactive than reactive as a result of it. I haven't become more paranoid as a result of it. One key aspect of chess is to see a bad situation for what it is when the case maybe and make the best move even then.

Yeah, I guess has changed me into more stable parakeet; I've grown some tail feathers since going on chess.com a few years ago; there's been a lot of molting, but it hasn't affected me too much psychologically, you know? I mean, I guess so. My birdbaths little less frequent when I play bullet. Stool color still fair on a good day. Sometimes I wish it was purple. We all have some fears about the wrong color stool. I like the good days, don't you all?

Yeah you can get a sense for when people are hatching plans and schemes to serve their own self-interests and when they threaten to undermine your control, power, status or test your dominion in real life. Stuff like that. I always let them know I can just turn the whole chess table over and make it permanent zugzwang if they really have any doubts remaining about who run it. Aside from just the aforementioned positive attributes and qualities obtained, I have yet to notice any ill effects, but I'll make sure to rush here to this thread and post them for everyone the instant I do.

Yeah, I guess has changed me into more stable parakeet; [snip snip]
i was trying to fathom the notion of an unstable parakeet?

Take away a parakeet's perches, swings, bells, calcium block, and don't change his poopy newspaper at the bottom of his cage and he becomes unstable; take away a parakeet's freedom of speech, his civil liberties, his bottle of Worcestershire sauce, his ham and onion sandwich, and his hairy gorilla, and he goes into rage mode.

Has changed you psychologically?
It is all about each person, not about the game of chess.
I explain: if a person who has a bad personality suddenly got a passion on SOCCER/FOOTBALL, he tends to be one of those nasty supporters, who figths in the stadios, make all that kind of **it.
IF another person, who has a good personality, gets the same passion, he will do it in a good way: maybe studying the statistics of his favourite team, which is a funny pastime and is an exercise for the mind.
What I mean is: the problem is inside each person, not outside.
In my case I think I might have become more paranoid in general. But it could also be an illusion I have because my mind feels like it is thinking differently.
If you think playing chess has changed you somehow please share this. Please mention not just positive but negative changes as well. Maybe something your friends or family have noticed and told you. Maybe you personally.
