guys in rapid i peaked to 1318 but went down

i have 1k rating here but i win against 1800 in real life tournaments what does this mean

IMO (you're speaking with someone who's a 1k rating) what's also important is to see where you rank against all players. Apparently I fit 85th percentile which means that on chess.com only 15% are better than me. On the streets where people don't play chess at all, a 1k rated player will tend to dominate 95% of everyone. Plus, it's a LOT harder to get a 900-1000 rating on chess.com, with more players, more tutorials, more videos, more books, etc.

It's okay and you should focus on to make it better 👍

I hover around 1000 I don't consider myself a great player but I think 1000 rating is better than most that would play just for a casual bit of fun. I don't have any interest in studying the game but I do like playing it.. I like beating Americans the most , especially the woke liberals which I like to wind up. Hence my profile picture

Lichess is severely inflated, you've played a steady amount of rapid games on chess.com. 400 is your probable rating

Yes, 1000 is decent because I am 1100-1200 and my games are all about 80-90acc

No. It's rubbish. 1k to 1.5 is beginner. 1.5k to 2K is strong club player. 2 to 2.5K you are interesting. 2.5k upwards you are a monstrosity.....

492 down votes wow

1000 is pretty good for general play (non chess club players) but once you hit the chess world it would be surviving on natural unskilled talent which won't take you too far. 1000 is a good time to start taking lessons and learning defense. there is a lot that goes into traps and tying up your apponents pieces and controling the board so 1000 would be a novice.

I think 1000 is good 👍

no 1000 is not good unless it depends who the opponent is like 100 then 1000 is good but if it is like 2000 1000 is bad but if it 1000 then your the same level but 1000 is good in general
