The lichess playerbase tends to be a bit better than the average chess.com playerbase so i wouldnt take this as a sign that 1000 on lichess would be below average on chess.com

The lichess playerbase as a whole tends to be a bit better than the chess.com playerbase, so 50% percentile there isn't necessarily at the same level as 50% percentile here. Its probably more like 1500 there is approximately equivalent 1000 here
So half the players there are playing below 1000 here.
Obviously 1400 there is not just a beginner, rather somewhere between 30th percentile and 50th percentile.

It's all relative. To a 500 rated player it's good. To a 1500 rated player it's not.
