Have I gotten worse at puzzles?

I've noticed a steady decline in my puzzle rating over this week. I hit 1,100+ on Monday, I believe, and I lost it in the same round of puzzles. It's not even the end of the week, and I'm mid-1,060's. Am I just being too critical over my puzzle rating because I'm trying to beat my chess teachers, and it's my only rating I can actually be proud of right now (all my others are 223 or less). Or am I only noticing it because I'm keeping track of it?

Historically I've seen +/- 400 point swings in puzzle ratings, depending on a number of factors. I could swing that much in a single day.

More recently I know the site has changed some things on the back-end that should provide more accurate, but generally lower ratings but I don't know how many members are on that system now.

You are “solving” puzzles in 4 seconds? This is completely absurd. Are you mixing up rated puzzles with puzzle rush? You cannot even count amount of yours and opponent pieces in 10 seconds and that is only beginning. After you count amount of pieces, then you should look for opposite side threats. Then you identify all your checkss and captures and then you start calculate them one after another. If all checks and captures don’t work, then you look for threats and then you start calculating them one after another. If you throw a move in less then a minute it’s usually guessing not calculating. Guessing moves will never improve your play.
