looking forward to it ?
Have you ever lost?

This dude once lost all his games in two tournaments... all of them on time. (And that was with regular time controls, not five-minute chess.)

How about one of these silly tourneys on here?

The first OTB tourney I participated in, however this was a rapid chess event (15 min.) with 5 rounds, I had neither played OTB nor fast chess before (only some Internet correspondence games) and all the others were experienced club players, I ended up with zero points at this one.

In my very first OTB event I lost all games. It was a "quad" and all my opponents were rated 1500-1600. This was the spring of 1973 and was my baptism in tournament/rated play. In my second event I lost 4 games and won 1 ! My beginnings in tournament play would make most people quit and try another hobby but I am very hard headed.......
Every game in a tournament before? I haven't yet, but it looks like I'm going too.
Ask me again in about 14 hours. I'm leaving soon for a tourney where 0/4 is probably the most likely result I'm facing.

I've only ever played in 3 tournaments.
In 2004 I got 2/7.
In 2005 I got 4/7.
In 2006 I got 6.5/7 and undisputed 1st place :)
It was all the same tournament just happened once a year.

Yes, I had always played 1.e4 as White. I decided to give 1.d4 a try. I spent about two months trying to put together a White repertoire. I felt confident I knew what I was doing in the Queen's Gambit, QGD, KID, Nimzo-Indian, and Grunfeld, since I had played all these as Black one time or another. I entered a 5 round Swiss, weekend tournament. First game as White I faced a Dutch and was totally out of my element. Second game I played Black and found it was relief to be in a position that I understood, but lost. Third game as White I faced Albin Counter Gambit and had no Idea what was going on. Fourth round I faced a Budapest by a player two classes below me and got crushed. I remember the final round, I was relieved to be playing Black against a 1200 player. He played the advanced against my French. He kept making solid but uninspired moves. I had a very solid position, but wanted to play for a win so I sacrificed a pawn for complications but no real compensation. I finally got an attack going (the first time I had been on offense in the entire tournament) when my opponent gets up to go to the bathroom. While he was gone I made a move and immediately realized that he could fork my king and queen. I kept waiting for him to return. Waiting tortured me immensely; so I finally tipped over my king, signed his score sheet, and left the tournament hall.

Oh, yeah. Everyone of 'em just barely slipped away. They all got lucky:
