i think the diamond is more beneficial the less experienced a player is and having an all-in-one site where a budding wood pusher can set up a "hub" has helped
if you can afford it why not try the diamond? i think you have a month before you can cancel it (not sure though) and you could always downgrade to the platinum (which is still pretty solid)
good luck
Hi there, I used to play chess when I was a kid then stopped for years, played a bit of chess last summer(2016) now I'm planning to get into the game a bit more seriously. I've Bought a book on chess, started analysing my games on here after playing them using the tool, been watching youtube videos by "thechesswebsite" and playing lots of games. I have a question if someone could please help!
I am just about to buy a membership to chess.com and am debating between the platanum and the diamond membership. I really like the game analysis and would like to have the deep analysis so I at least would like platanum and I hear that tactics are useful so unlimited tactics is also attractive. The only real difference between platanum and diamond for me seems to be the video lessons. Could people let me know there thoughts on whether the extra money is worth it for the video lessons or is there so much available free video content on YouTube.com that the platinum level will suffice for me? I have been playing a lot recently and in the last 2 weeks have got my rapid (30 min game) rating from 1030 to my current highest of 1223 and would really like to keep a strong level of improvement.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
