Some general advice is that you should learn the opening principles and the key ideas in the openings you play. Your pieces will find good active squares then. Try to always think objectively about the position and not about what style you think your opponent is playing.

Hi guys, i am struggling against two particular types of style. The first is lower rated players who don't join in abit like they think it is twin peaks chess. The other more important is those that are good at overloading i cannot seam to unpin myself get any good activity. Is there any ideas against mainley the later? I think the best i can think of for the former is pawn and peicetaker? Ideas needed please!!!
